Hi friends,

We, the Orissa Network of Women in Media, India (ONWMI), met on 2 July, 2003. Though the State had a holiday for Puri Rath Yatra that day, some of us in the media made post noon expeditions to Puri.

It was quite a wet day, but the response to the meeting of the Orissa chapter of the NWMI was encouraging, and we had a relaxing two hours over tea, namkins and sweets. Those who could not make it, promised to do so for the next meet which will take place in the coming month. The most convenient time for most of us to get together, it was agreed, was an hour or two before the usual office hours. We hope to have a minimum of ten attending our next meeting. Sarojini has already registered with the NWMI.
