NWMI Bangalore co-organizes discussions on media issues

NWMI Bangalore has co-organized 3 "Open Media Matters" events along with Media Watch Bengaluru, Oorvani Media and. Launched in July 2012, these programmes have been talks/discussions on various topics relevant to the media. The inaugural one hosted by the Jain Group of Instituions featured Shubhranshu Choudhury of CGNet Swara while Paranjoy Guha Thakurta spoke about media ownership in the second. The third was a panel discussion featuring Lawrence Liang, Subir Ghosh, S.C. Dinesh Kumar and affected students from the Northeast India on the topic "Exodus from Bangalore - What role can media play in a time of sms and fb?" was held at the St. Joseph's College of Arts and Science on 14 September 2012.
