Barkha Dutt awarded Greece's most prestigious journalism award

Barkha Dutt, managing editor of the Indian news channel NDTV 24X7, was awarded the 2006 Kostas Kyriazis Award - Greece's most prestigious journalism award. The honour was conferred on Dutt at a special ceremony in Athens on May 30, 2006.

Named after the late owner and founder of Greece's oldest daily newspaper Ethnos, the Costas Kyriazis Foundation presents the yearly award to organisations and individuals that promote human values and press freedom, according to INEP agency.
